Loves Park Police Color Guard in the annual Young at Heart Parade
The Loves Park Police Department Honor Guard is made up of a specially trained group of officers, from the department. The Honor Guard's purpose is to represent the Loves Park Police Department, its officers, and families at funerals and other ceremonial events, with the highest honor, dignity, and respect. It is the intention of the Honor Guard to assist all officers and their families in their time of emotional duress, to extend pride in our chosen profession, and to demonstrate allegiance to the flag of our country.
Annually, the Loves Park Police Department Honor Guard particpates in the following events, as well as others as needed:
- Young at Heart Parade
- Young at Heart Opening Ceremony
- National Night Out
- Northern Illinois Police Memorial Week
