Youth Police Academy

Every summer, the Loves Park Police Department partners with the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office to host a Youth Police Academy for students in 6th–12th grade interested in learning more about law enforcement.

This program provides participants with a behind-the-scenes look at policing through hands-on activities and instruction led by local officers. Students are introduced to basic law enforcement concepts while also developing leadership skills, confidence, and a stronger understanding of public safety roles within the community.
